Time 2 Learn Pre-K

In our Time 2 Learn pre-kindergarten program, we implement a structured schedule where play is the basis for all learning. Our curriculum is designed to support children’s readiness for kindergarten, with a strong focus on early literacy development. In all activities, we encourage creativity, free thinking, and problem solving. Teaching children about community building in which love, patience, sharing, kindness, and acceptance are at the core of our work together. Parents are invited to visit us at any time throughout the year. In addition to the classroom space, our preschool scholars have access to the gymnasium for structured activities that support large muscle development. Time to Learn operates Monday through Friday from 9 to 3 pm, and children are provided a lunch and afternoon snack.

After School Scholars

The After School Scholars Program enrolls students in grades K-6, with a special club program for middle school students in grades 7 & 8. The program operates Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. From 3:30 until 4:00, all enrolled children are provided a hot meal in the cafeteria and spend time interacting informally with our teaching staff. During this time, children work with mentors who assist with a variety of free-choice activities including art, homework help, and team-building games. At 4:15, students are escorted to their assigned classrooms by their classroom teacher. Instruction time is from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Our formal program concludes at 5:15 p.m. Parent Pickup is from 5:15-5:30 p.m., during which time students have the opportunity to engage in free-choice activities.

HIP Summer Camp

Every year, HIP provides an enriching summer program that helps children in the community. Our program runs for 5 weeks, where each week is focused on a different topic. We provide an educational program from 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon, that includes snacks, and a hot meal. Each week children experience a unique curriculum that is meant to engage their creativity, curiosity, imagination, and attention. Each week we explore anything from Art, Science, Technology, Geography, Math, Engineering, History, Athletics, and leadership. We help these children have a good time while learning necessary skills to succeed in the future. We start recruitment around April and start summer camp in July!
