Educational Programs
for Children, Teens and Adults

Our educational programs strive to meet the needs of local families. We are committed to providing engaging environments for both young and adult learners through a variety of educational opportunities. We seek to foster curiosity and academic excellence as well as leadership, emotional intelligence, and a sense of community.

Pre-K - 8th Grade

  • Time 2 Learn Pre-K

    Monday – Friday, 9am-3pm
The curriculum at our Time 2 Learn pre-kindergarten program is designed to support children’s readiness for kindergarten through early literacy development, problem solving, and creativity. We seek to teach children about community building in which love, patience, sharing, kindness, and acceptance are the building blocks for a strong and equitable future. Our students are provided with lunch, an afternoon snack, and time in both the classroom and the gymnasium.

  • After School Scholars

    Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm-5:30pm
Our After School Scholars program enrolls students in grades K-6, with a special club program for middle school students in grades 7 and 8. Students are provided with a hot meal, the option of participating in a range of free-choice activities such as art, homework, and team-building games, and educational instruction from teachers.

  • HIP Summer Camp

Monday – Friday in July, 10am-3pm
HIP’s annual Summer Camp provides an enriching summer program for children in the community. During our month-long program, we focus on different topics ranging from art and science to athletics and leadership. Children get to experience a unique curriculum that engages their creativity, intellect, and social skills through a variety of activities, such as karate lessons, art projects, and team-building games. We hope to allow children to have fun during the summer while also learning necessary skills for succeeding in the future. Children are provided with a meal during each day.

  • INSPIRE-U

Adult Learning

  • ESL Classes

HIP provides English as a Second Language classes to adults that can benefit from learning the language. Our ESL classes have 3 levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Each course runs for 4 months, where we provide hands on learning, testing and practice. Classes are scheduled twice a week and can either be in the morning or in the afternoons. Our teachers are experienced, polite, compassionate and willing to work with all levels of students.

  • GED Course

HIP provides a 4-month GED course in both English and Spanish for adults. Course-takers study Math, English, Science, and Writing and end the sessions fully prepared to take the GED. The GED test is available in Spanish locally. We also work with students who have previously failed to pass the test.
