HIP summer camp ends with a carnival!

The Hazleton Integration Project’s Spectacular Summers Camp Program for 2026
ended with a flurry of activity.
Each week featured a different theme for campers to explore. The final theme was
Animal Explorers, and culminated with a visit from Carbon County Education Center,
who brought a great horned owl for the campers to learn about, as well as a field trip to
the Lehman Sanctuary to participate in a true nature hike.
The last day of summer camp ended with the annual Carnival with games designed and
created by the older campers and played by the younger campers for prizes.
This year’s summer camp was made special by the many local businesses and
organizations that came to the community center and partnered with HIP to offer
classes, enriching activities and school supplies for the campers.
